In the just-completed season, the AFC North teams played the hardest schedules in the league. Everyone in that division played Tennessee, Indianapolis, and every team in the NFC East. Based on combined wins and losses of opponents, the Browns and Steelers played the hardest schedules, and they were followed by the Bengals and Ravens.
But it looks like things are going to flip around next season. This time, everyone in that division gets to play the 0-16 Lions, as well as all of the teams in the AFC West, which just finished as the league's 2nd-worst division. So the Steelers, Ravens, Bengals and Browns all project to play top-10 schedules.
Three teams from the NFC North - the Bears, Vikings and Packers - project to play the easiest schedules. The Dolphins, Panthers, Patriots and Falcons project to play the hardest schedules.
The figures below show combined wins and losses of opponents, using 2008 data.
