Factoid
A final tip of the hat is in order for Larry Fitzgerald’s almost unbelieveable postseason.
In four games, he caught 30 passes, 546 yards and 7 TDs – all postseason records. He also averaged 18.2 yards per catch.
To put those numbers into context, consider that four postseason games translates into a quarter of a 16-game regular season. So, in four games against very good opposition, he produced at a rate of 120 catches, 2,184 yards and 28 TDs. Jerry Rice holds the all-time record with 1,848 yards in a season (336 behind that pace), and Randy Moss holds the regular-season record with 23 TD catches.
I’m thinking that Fitzgerald’s huge postseason will be enough to cause him to be the first wide receiver selected in most fantasy drafts next summer. I’ll post a poll question to see how the readers feel.
