Factoid
At this point, I think it’s safe to write off Chris Perry, the former first-round pick who’s had an injury-plagued five-year run with the Bengals.
With Rudi Johnson gone and Perry healthy, he finally got a chance last year to be a starting, full-time back. And he flopped pretty badly, eventually getting benched in favor of Cedric Benson, who played well down the stretch and recently signed a new contact.
Upon further review, Perry managed an unusually ugly double last year. He averaged only 2.6 yards per carry, last among the 49 running backs with at least 100 rushing attempts. And Perry also averaged only 3.6 yards on receptions, last among the 46 running backs who caught at least 20 passes.
Perry probably will never again enter a season as a starting running back. I’m not sure he’s even a No. 2 guy.

And let me throw one more onto the heap. Also last in fumbles -- one per every 25 times he touched the ball. He just doesn't have it.
