Below is the updated version of the Fanex draft.
No big picks this time around – certainly not for me.
In the 14th round, I went with Heath Miller as my second tight end. I’ve already got Brent Celek. Probably both these guys will score 5-6 TDs. In this format – a best-ball league – hopefully those touchdowns will come on different weeks and I’ll get about 10-12 touchdowns out of the position.

Overview of rules: Each team drafts 20 players. Starts QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D and one flex player (RB-WR-TE). 6 points for TDs, 4 for TD passes, 1 for every 20 passing yards, 1 for every 10 run/rec yards, 1 for every reception. No free agent pickups – what you draft is what you get. No starting lineups – lineups tabulated via “best ball” methods. No head-to-head games; highest total points after 17 weeks is the winner.

Boy, there's really not much reason to use an early pick on a tight end. Zach Miller and Celek in the 11th, Keller in the 14th...I'm not sure Owen Daniels, taken in the 8th, will be much better than any of those guys.

I like Celek, but if I hadn't taken him, I think he might still be available. I'm looking at the Experts Poll stuff that's going into the magazine, and nobody has him as high as we do.

How's the magazine coming along? There was a day when I would buy half a dozen fantasy magazines, but I now buy just Fantasy Index. I'm in several leagues and at every ffb auction that I'm in, the mag that is seen most is the Index.

We're working on it. We've got about another 10 days to work with. We're polishing up the draft board, debating rankings. Trying to get each story read/edited by five different guys. The mock cover you see on the front page is now final -- it will be Larry Fitzgerald on front this year.

I'll put the Over/under at seven (7) for the number of years you hear a reference to the name "Tatum Bell" when the cover comes out. By the way, good value on Miller.
