Yahoo! Sports has sued the NFL Player's Assocation, charging that the NFLPA has no right to charge online companies for access to player stats for online fantasy games.
This one will be heard in federal court in Minnesota, according to an article in today's issue of the Star Tribune in St. Paul, Minn.
The article quotes Paul Charchian of KFAN radio and the president of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. "These leagues have simply smelled money and tried to go after it any way they could," Charchian says.

Since I'm a right winger in a left wing State, I'm usually disgusted with everything. However, when it comes to fantasy football I think the Minnesota judges will find in favor with ffb. We all play it in this State. Right or left doesn't matter!

Plus, Charch pulls a lot of weight and is the fantasy god of Minnesota. No judge would consider pissing him off!

I believe they went with that court because of how it ruled earlier in a case involving the use of baseball stats. Yahoo! figured that there was going to be a lawsuit, and they should get it filed before the NFLPA to get that home-court advantage.
