I think I got my first index about 1990. Anyway, I noticed the word REDSKINS is nowhere to be found in your publication! Who is applying the pressure, a large retailer with a history of pushing around publishers over content?

That's very interesting, I hadn't noticed. A rough and tough sport that's suddenly nicey, nice.

Couple of notes: (1) FFI 2009 hit the local Barnes & Noble newstand on June 29 (Morris Plains, NJ), I've been studying up since. I felt it would come out sooner when a call to FFI around June 18 revealed that it had already gone to press. It has been readily available at most other bookstore locations in my local area since around July 1. (2) I've been a loyal reader since 1989 and have those copies. I would love to come across the 1987 and 1988 editions, if anyone has 1 to sell. (3) Washington has been solely referred to as "Washington" since at least aruond 2004 or so, and more recently this also applies to another team now referred to in the publication solely as "Kansas City".

I'm Norwegian and I'm appalled that anyone can call their team the Vikings!
