Things have slowed down in the Fantasy Football Indepth experts draft I've been participating in, a result of the weekend and apparently some owners being on vacation or something. Since Saturday night we've completed just over 2 rounds.
It's interesting to see how owners rank IDPs; there have been a bunch taken in the last couple of rounds. The tackle-happy linebackers are the most desired players, naturally, although to me once you get past the first 12-15 options, the next 30 or so are pretty similar. So I think it's important to try to get one of those top guys -- as I believe I did, with Oakland's Kirk Morrison -- and then fill out other positions.
I grabbed my 2nd tight end, Brent Celek (ranked higher by us than my No. 1, Dustin Keller, but not by other experts) and then a backup quarterback to Tom Brady: Brett Favre. Basically I just wanted a reliable starter who had a different bye week, and to me the odds of Favre NOT joining the Vikings in the next week are so remote as to be insignificant. The other starting quarterbacks on the board at this point (20 have been taken) have even more questions than the retired Favre.
