Around the NFL
The departure of offensive coordinator Todd Haley for Kansas City led us to speculate in the magazine that the Cardinals would run more and pass less this season. In an interview on NFL.com, Whisenhunt confirms it.
"If we can be a more balanced team, that is what we would gravitate towards," said Whisenhunt.
In what could be seen as a good (albeit expected) sign for top draft pick Beanie Wells, Whisenhunt didn't give any indication that Tim Hightower's status as incumbent would result in him being ahead of Wells at the start of training camp. Asked who the team's starter would be, Whisenhunt said "I really don't know."
