Around the NFL
Eli Manning is officially "day to day" with a foot injury, which has been reported as plantar fascitiis but may actually be more minor than that. That's according to this report in The New York Daily News.
Manning did his weekly radio show here in New York today, and didn't sound like he expects to miss this week's game. He actually remained in the game for a play after the injury because he initially thought he could play with it. He said that today it felt about the same as it did yesterday.
Manning hasn't missed a start since taking over the starting job during the 2004 season. He'll probably be out there again on Sunday, handing the ball off to Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw as they steamroll the Raiders.
