Hines Ward says he'll play

Posted Dec. 10 at 07:56 AM

Hines Ward told ESPN's Rachel Nichols that he will definitely play in tonight's game against Cleveland. Ward is questionable with a hamstring injury, but he's on the field warming up.

So definitely scratch Mike Wallace from consideration for tonight's game. Wallace will be just their No. 3 (unless Ward's injury flares up).

Given the weather and his health, we're still not high on Ward. But with the wind and cold, the Steelers should use more short passes, which works in favor of Ward and Heath Miller, relative to Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace.
