Matthew Stafford, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman and Keith Null have three things in common. One is that they're rookie quarterbacks, and the second is that they're the only ones to start a game this season, a club Null joined when he started for the Rams last week.
The third is a dubious distinction, a club Null also joined last week. Each has had a 5-interception game this season. There have been six such games this season, with Jay Cutler and Kurt Warner the other quarterbacks to do it. There were no 5-interception games by quarterbacks last season -- not until the playoffs anyway, when Jake Delhomme kicked off the 2009 trend by throwing 5 against the Cardinals last January.
The quarterback numbers from the six 5-interception games this season, in order of occurrence, are presented below.
C-A-Int-Yds Quarterback
10-29-5-119 Mark Sanchez, Jets (vs. Bills)
27-46-5-242 Kurt Warner, Cardinals (vs. Panthers)
22-42-5-203 Matthew Stafford, Lions (vs. Seahawks)
29-52-5-307 Jay Cutler, Bears (vs. 49ers)
23-44-5-321 Josh Freeman, Bucs (vs. Panthers)
28-44-5-165 Keith Null, Rams (vs. Titans)
