Baltimore trades for Boldin

Posted Mar. 05 at 08:21 AM

Baltimore has traded for wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Surprisingly, it didn't take much to land him.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Ravens will give Arizona its third- and fourth-round draft picks. But the Cardinals are sending a fifth-rounder back in return. So not much of a price for Baltimore (thought it still must give Boldin a big contract).

While not getting much for Boldin, I like this trade for Arizona. They don't really need Boldin. They've got maybe the best receiver in football (Larry Fitzgerald), and they're also very good at the No. 2 and 3 spots. Steve Breaston is ready to be a starter, and Early Doucet played very well late last year when Boldin was hurt.

Looks like a win-win type of trade.
