Jones has plenty of miles on the odometer

Posted Mar. 10 at 02:43 AM

Does he have anything left in the tank? That’s the question I have with Thomas Jones, who was recently signed by Kansas City.

Jones looked fine last year, running for over 1,400 yards with the Jets. But he’ll be 32 in August, and he’s logged a lot of carries. Five years in a row, he’s been around the 300-carry mark. Over the last five years, in fact, he’s carried the ball more than any other running back.

This could be the year, it seems, that his play could start to decline. (So it’s a good thing that Kansas City also has Jamaal Charles to work with.).
