Fanex: bolstering receiving corps with Pa. guys

Posted May. 22 at 01:43 PM

We’re well into this Fanex draft now. We just started the eighth round, so I’ve now selected nine players (I traded down out of the first round, and then traded pick 3.03 as well, allowing me to move up in later rounds.

No moves are allowed in this league – what you draft is what you get – so I’ve bolstered my receiving corps. You start three each week (you can actually start four, if you include the flex position). So with picks 7.04 and 8.01, I’ve added a pair of second-year receivers from Pennsylvania teams – Mike Wallace and Jeremy Maclin. Both did good things as rookies, and both should be better in their second years.

Wallace becomes a starter with Santonio Holmes gone. Maclin looks good in Philadelphia; he actually caught more passes than DeSean Jackson in the final 14 games of last season.

Nice pick ups! I think they can be adequate starters if you wanted to bolster depth or talent at other positions.
