Around the NFL
It looks like two or three games for Vincent Jackson. He's been suspended for three games for now; there's a chance he'll appeal that and get it moved down to two games.
There's a story at ESPN.com.
There's also the contract dynamic, however. He wants a new deal -- he wants big money -- and the Chargers might not be willing to commit that kind of cash to a player who's had off-field problems. That's why they seem more willing to trade him, with Seattle and Washington looking like the most likely destinations.
The suspension and the possible trade should cause Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee to sneak up draft boards in the next month. If Jackson's not around, that would also hurt Philip Rivers and probably help Antonio Gates slightly.
