In a PPR format, I like receivers who catch lots of passes. And even more so in a league where you can start four of them (three plus a "flex" player).
So in the Fanex American League draft, I've opened with three wide receivers. That's all I've taken so far -- receivers.
Brandon Marshall in the first (10th pick). Miles Austin at 2.03. And Wes Welker at 3.10.
Normally, I try to trade down in these Fanex drafts, and a trade down would have made sense here. I think I could have gotten Welker a half dozen spots lower.
But I've been busy and haven't made any trade offers, and nobody has sent any to me.
Fanex has two leagues. It has it's "Analysis Draft", which I did back in June. That's the one where it's a best-ball deal. No lineups, no roster moves, and no games -- it's strictly points.
This one is a more traditional setup. 24 teams. They're separated into 12 leagues. The 12 highest finishers from 2009 are in the American League. The other 12 are in the National League (each year, four are promoted and four are relegated).
