Around the NFL
There's been a lot of tough talk between Vincent Jackson and the Chargers. They don't seem to want to pay big money to a player who's had a lot of off-field problems. And he doesn't want to pay for cheap.
There also have been rumors of San Diego being willing to move on without Jackson, and those talks are now picking up steam.
Jason Cole of Yahoo! reports that the Seahawks have been given permission to talk contract with Jackson. Seattle is serious about adding talent at wide receiver; they moved for Brandon Marshall earlier in the offseason.
This one looks legit. It would help Matt Hasselbeck, of course. It would be a blow to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the other Seattle pass catchers.
The move also would help San Diego's returning wide receivers, most notably Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee.
