Add the Tennessee Titans to the list of teams that could be considering selecting a running in the first round.
So says an article written by Paul Kuharsky that appears in today’s edition of The Tennessean.
The Titans have LenDale White, who ran for 1,110 yards last year but has struggled with weight problems at times. They also selected Chris Henry of Arizona in the second round last year; he looked pretty good at times last year, particularly in the preseason – he’s an aggressive runner who breaks tackles, but he’s raw.
The team didn’t re-sign Chris Brown, who signed on with the Texans a few weeks back.
The Titans hold the 24th pick in the draft. Darren McFadden and Rashard Mendenhall should be gone by that time, but Jonathan Stewart or Felix Jones might still be available. And the article mentions Jamaal Charles (Texas) and Chris Johnson (East Carolina) as possibilities. The Titans have selected players from Texas two years in a row (Vince Young and Michael Griffin.
