Fantasy Football Index e-magazine and newsletters on sale now!
Posted Jul. 25 at 02:16 AM
Glory Hallelujah! The owners and players finally have a deal, so we are accepting orders for the e-magazine and for our Fantasy Index Cheat Sheet Update newsletters at the Fantasy Index store. The free agent signing period should begin tomorrow, and we expect most of the big dominoes to fall quickly.
On August 11, we will delivery the digital Fantasy Football Index magazine to subscribers in PDF format. The experts poll, mock draft and mock auction will be delivered to subscribers in a second PDF blast about one week later (i.e. August 19). The initial electronic magazine won't include an experts poll or mock draft/auction because it would be unreasonable to ask the experts to participate in a mock draft before free agents have signed.
We'll begin publishing the electronic Fantasy Index Cheat Sheet Update newsletters the following week (first issue on August 15).
Readers who preordered the 2011 edition of Fantasy Football Index can request a cash refund, an exchange for the 2012 ink-on-paper magazine, or an exchange for this year's digital edition of Fantasy Football Index.
The ink-on-paper edition of Fantasy Football Index will return to newsstands in 2012.

I forget if I've ordered anything. How can I see what if anything I have on account?

Don't get discouraged guys...everyone in the country is having a tough year...things will get better!

@Richard, you can see your order history if you log in at https://store.fantasyindex.com and then click the navigation link that says "Order History". However, at this point we have not made any of the newsletter products available to order. We will add them to the store after the players and owners sign a new collective bargaining agreement.

If there's no labor deal until late September or so, will you still publish an electronic version of the magazine?

Is there not a super-fanatic package this year that includes all pre-season updates, plus all in-season updates?
Posted by Eric Hachlinski | Jul. 25 at 06:33 AM
Would love a super-fanatic package with the electronic magazine, the pre-season updates, and the regular season updates! I might hold on my order until I see how that pricing works out (or if it will be available). You guys do a GREAT job every year - thank you.

We've added the SuperFanatic package to the online store. Please accept our apology for the oversight. Today is a crazy day in the Fantasy Index office.

I've just bought the SuperFanatic package. Does this include the electronic magazine? It's not entirely clear if it does, or if that's extra.
Posted by Fantasy Index Customer Service | Jul. 25 at 02:22 PM
Just as in previous years, the magazine is a separate product from the SuperFanatic newsletter subscription. The magazine is more detailed than any other product we produce. It is the foundational document upon which all of our other products rest. And many (most) of our SuperFanatics subscribe after they already have the magazine (or, in this case, e-magazine) in hand, so it's redundant to include it as part of the package.

Ummm, no, 'redundant' means 'duplicating something already in place'. While here it'll cost me another $7.99 plus tax to put it into place. Which is alright, and I'm heading over there to do so now. But I feel like I'm the engagee of a little bit of spin here.

I already ordered the pre-season updates becaue the fanatic package was not an option at the time, can I get this refunded so I can buy the fanatic package without spending a redundant 15 dollars?
Posted by Fantasy Index Customer Service | Jul. 26 at 05:17 AM
@Daivd Karsjens: We've added the in-season-only Fantasy Index Weekly to the online store, so you can order it online without any muss or fuss. @Richard Loppnow: The product description on the store page enumerates everything that's included with the SuperFanatic package. The vast majority of newsletter subscribers sign on after they have the magazine in hand. We could increase the cost of the SuperFanatic subscription to $82.99 and then send a duplicate copy of the magazine to subscribers, but that would be wasteful. And besides, some customers don't want the magazine at all. We don't understand that, but it's their choice. That's why we sell the products a la carte.

I'd suggest you enumerate within the SuperFanatic package that it doesn't include the electronic magazine. But then, maybe I'm the only one unclear on that.
