Factoid
While most owners in keeper formats will be angling to draft 2007 first-rounders JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn, don’t be too quick to underrate the early second-rounders, including Kevin Kolb (36th overall), John Beck (40th) and Drew Stanton (43rd). The NFL track record of those quarterbacks who slipped just beyond the first round is better than you might think.
In the last 30 years, 11 other quarterbacks have been drafted among the second round’s first dozen picks, and 6 of those players have gone on to enjoy good -- and in some cases, great -- NFL careers. This is not to say any of the three will be the next Brett Favre or Randall Cunningham, but Neil Lomax or Drew Brees? You never know.
The career numbers for each of those 11 players, organized in terms of touchdowns per game, as well as their draft position, are presented below.

1991 33 241 427 1.77 Brett Favre, Falcons
