49ers will add another wide receiver

Posted Apr. 21 at 12:11 PM

The 49ers traded away their first-round pick, No. 7 overall. They traded it to New England last season when they moved up to select tackle Joe Staley late in the first round.

San Francisco, however, does have the Colts’ first-round pick – No. 29 overall. And that pick, according to a draft preview written by Daniel Brown of InsideBayArea.com, is most likely to be used on a pass rusher, offensive linemen or wide receiver.

The 49ers signed Isaac Bruce and Bryant Johnson, but from the tone of GM Scot McCloughan, it’s clear the team isn’t done shopping at wide receiver. "Isaac Bruce is not the answer for the future," he said. "But he makes us better this year."
