Around the NFL
The Titans are trying to put together a Thunder and Lighting backfield. They’ve already got LenDale White, and they used their first-round pick on Chris Johnson, who ran a 4.24 at the combine.
White, in an article in today’s edition of The Tennessean, says he envisions the Titans’ backfield as being similar to what he played at Southern Cal, sharing time with Reggie Bush.
And Jeff Fisher confirms that Johnson will be used extensive as both a runner and a receiver.
"We haven't had a change of pace like this,'' Fisher. "We've either had running backs or we've had receivers, but we've never had a guy that can do both, that you can create mismatches with."
