Buffalo may have landed a draft pick with off-field problems.
According to an Indiana newspaper, a police reports indicates that the Bills’ second-round draft pick, wide receiver James Hardy, pointed a gun at his father during a dispute on Sunday.
The article, appearing in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette says that police do not intend to charge Hardy or pursue the matter further. It’s enough, however, to make a reasonable person wonder if Hardy can avoid staying out of trouble in the upcoming seasons.
Hardy is 6-foot-6, and the Bills are hoping he’ll be a big contributor for them in red zone situations. He caught 36 TDs in 33 games at the University of Indiana.
