No need to worry about Marion Barber missing training camp in a contract dispute.
The team signed him on Tuesday to a seven-year contract worth $45 million, with $16 million guaranteed, accordng to a story in the The Dallas Morning News.
The deal appears to be slightly better than the contract Michael Turner signed with Atlanta. That one measured in at $34.5 million for six years, with $15 million guaranteed. And that’s fair; Barber isn’t going to play full time, but he’s a more proven back than Turner.
The article, by Albert Breer, appears at The Dallas Morning News website.
