Fanex draft put on hold for the weekend

Posted May. 23 at 01:11 PM

It’s not quite on par with the German, British and French troops setting down their weapons on Christmas Eve in World War I, but in honor of the Memorial Day Weekend, they’re putting the Fanex draft on hold.

They’ll freeze the timer tonight, so I’m not sure if I’ll get to make another pick before Tuesday. I’ve got a pair of picks coming up – 11.07 and 11.08.

Here’s where the draft stands now, with 121 of the 240 players selected.

The scoring system for this league is 6 points for TDs, 4 for TD passes, 1 point per reception, 1 point for every 20 passing yards and 1 point for every 10 run/rec yards. Teams start 3 WR, 2 RB, QB, TE, PK, DEF and one flex (WR-RB-TE) player. 18-man rosters. No waiver moves. No lineups (it's a best-ball format). High score after 17 NFL weeks wins.

Kevin Smith is a nice "bounce back " pick after Forte. He's almost certain to post better stats and has a much better chance to be the feature runner on his team. looks like you took a mulligan with your 5th pick..... Hines Ward, travis Henry and "your boy" Orange Julius are almost certain to have better statistical seasons and seem to be better value than Forte. Im interested to see if you handcuff one of your runners or opt for a TE.

To say Travis "i'm injured every game and may not make the team" Henry is almost certain to have better stats sounds a bit off. Julius Jones is a perennial disappointment and will be stuck in a possible 3 way committee with 0 goal line carries. And Ian already has good WR's so no need for Ward there. The Kevin Smith pick made a lot of sense to me.

oops i meant the Forte pick. u might have to add an edit button just for me..

Ward? Henry? Orange Julius? I think Eugene is stuck in a time warp; he thinks it's still 2005. I would consider those guys only if I was one of those Devil-Worshipper Leagues, where you get a big bonus if a player finishes with exactly 666 yards.

Be reasonable Ian. Ward will lead the Steelers in receiving this year, while Travis and Julius will START for there respective teams. I wonder how many of the "experts" in this league were clenching there fists in frustration when you "stole" Matt Forte. Ha,at least there's a silver lining. You can grab "Cover Boy" Tatum Bell and use the "ground shaking" detroit running game every week...

my bad, i noticed that your peers already took your handcuffs, Hey, Kevin Faulk catches alot of passes, maybe you can pick him up.......

Time warp is right, he's even blasting you for the Tatum Bell cover thing. That's gotten so old.
