Sleeper tight end: Nate Jackson

Posted May. 24 at 11:10 AM

Maybe it’s time to add “Nate Jackson” to your deep list of sleepers – guys who you would never draft in a million years but are good enough to potentially develop into something, causing you to slap yourself in the side of the head in October and say, “Damn, I was thinking about maybe drafting that guy.”

Denver starts Daniel Graham at tight end, but he’s just a blocker. Can’t catch. So Tony Scheffler played a lot last year and posted very good numbers during the final two thirds of the season.

Now, however, Scheffler is battling foot problems which could linger into the regular season. If Scheffler can’t go, then it would create an opportunity for Nate Jackson.

Mike Klis has the story on Scheffler’s injury and Jackson possibly developing into something in Friday’s Denver Post.
