A couple of running backs coming off foot injuries look like they’ll be just fine for training camp.
Larry Johnson missed the second half of last season with a broken foot, but he’s practicing and running without restrictions. “I forgot I had a foot injury,” Johnson said in an article appearing in the Kansas City Star.
Then there’s Jonathan Stewart. He underwent toe surgery in the offseason, causing some teams to get squeamish about his availability at the start of the season. But Stewart is no longer wearing a walking boot and is expected to be 100 percent when training camp opens, according to a story in the Charlotte Observer.
