Brett Favre definitely intends to come back.
He granted an interview today with On the Record with Greta Van Susteren. He says he definitely wants to come back, and if it’s not with the Packers, then he’ll be comfortable playing for another team.
“"Them moving on does not bother me," Favre says in the interview, which will be aired later today. "It doesn't. I totally understand that. By me retiring March 3rd, I knew that could possibly happen."
With training camp being just over a week away, the Packers will have to figure out things in a hurry. They could give Favre the starting job. They could bring him back as a backup. Or they could allow him to compete for the job. The odds of them letting him leave, it seems, are slim – particularly without compensation.

on WFAN-NY this morning, Boomer Esiason was saying that Favre wants out so he can go play for Jon Gruden in TB. The Packers owe him some $12 mil in salary if he stays, $12 mil that will count against their cap.
