Around the NFL
There’s another player to consider in Chicago’s backfield. It looks like Matt Forte, the team’s second-round pick, will be the team’s starter, and the team also signed Kevin Jones and has Adrian Peterson (no, not that one) coming back.
But Garrett Wolfe, the tiny running back the team drafted a year ago, was by far the team’s most impressive player at that position in the preseason opener against Kansas City. In that game, he caught a 25-yard touchdown and broke loose for 42 yards on one run. His other 6 rushing attempts went for 22 yards.
The Chicago Tribune has a story on Forte and Wolfe right here.
