Chris Mortensen last night speculated that the Dolphins might release or trade Ronnie Brown.
With Ricky Williams looking very good, Mortensen said, the team might simply opt to unload Brown, who’s coming back from a serious knee injury. Miami recently moved Williams ahead of Brown on its official depth chart (though that move may be related tot he thumb injury Brown suffered in the last game – he won’t play in their next game).
Probably the No. 1 beat writer who covers the Dolphins, Armando Salguero, says he doesn’t buy into the theory that Brown will be unloaded. He kicks the topic around at the Miami Herald website.
Tony Sparano today said there’s no truth to the rumor. “No chance that we're trading Ronnie … There was no discussion of that internally or externally. None.” That article appears in the Palm Beach Post.

P.S. – I notice that TV ratings have been low for the badminton event at the Beijing Games. How about this rules revision for the 2012 Olympics: instead of a regular badminton court, play the games on the beach. And for the ladies, have them play in bikinis. Small bikinis.
