Immediately bench all of your Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, because this week's Texans-Ravens game has been canceled and rescheduled for November 9 due to damage caused by Hurricane Ike.
This week's Texans-Ravens will be played November 9. Both teams will take their byes this week. Houston's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals has been moved from November 9 to October 26.
The hurricane tore off much of the roof of Houston's Reliant Stadium, and the the stadium suffered water and wind damage at street level, too. The stadium may not be repaired in time for Houston's next three home games, which are scheduled to be played between October 5-19. Those games may be moved to Rice Stadium in Houston or to the Alamodome in San Antonio.
Fantasy coaches who start Ravens and Texans may take zero points for those players. Commissioners will face difficult decisions regarding starting lineups that include Ravens and Texans players. Do those players take zeroes this weekend? Are those fantasy scores pending -- not becoming final until the Houston-Baltimore game is completed November 9? If so, then what happens if those players suffer season-ending injuries between now and November 9?
Willis McGahee could benefit from the fiasco. He'll have another week to work his knee back into shape.
