The Vikings have benched Tarvaris Jackson -- for good they say.
Gus Frerotte will start on Sunday against Carolina, and Brad Childress says it's a permanent move -- at least we think so.
"It's not going to be a checkers game," Childress says. I'm not sure exactly what the means. Something about people hopping over other people, I suppose.

In my opinion, good news for all of Minnesota's other skill-position guys -- Bernard Berrian, Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice.
