Around the NFL
There’s some new LaDainian Tomlinson information available. Nothing on the team’s website, but there’s a story in The San Diego Union-Tribune that was written after Saturday’s practice.
Chris Jenkins reports Tomlinson as saying that his toe “feels better, so much better than a week ago,” but says Tomlinson refused to rule out the possibility that he will play a more limited role in Monday’s game.
“He looked good, quick, sudden,” said Norv Turner. “Obviously, the issue is sustaining it and how long it feels that way.”
To me, it sounds like Sproles is going to play a much bigger role than usual. Either Sproles will get 30 percent of the work, or the Chargers will just hold Tomlinson and Sproles will be their guy for this week. Those look like the top two possibilities to me.
