Willis McGahee won’t be heavily featured in tomorrow’s game against Cleveland, says Baltimore Sun Mike Preston. Instead, the team is more likely to use a rotation of three running backs, including Ray Rice and Le’Ron McClain.
“Who will be the starter tomorrow against the Cleveland Browns? We assume it’s Rice,” Preston writes.
Preston also speculates that McGahee’s knee problems could be related to him coming to training camp in less than ideal condition. “He reportedly came to training camp out of shape, and then within the first week, he started having knee problems that eventually led to his having arthroscopic knee surgery,” Preston writes.
Sounds like it’s risky counting on McGahee to be productive Sunday against Cleveland’s defense.
