Bryant will kick on Sunday

Posted Sep. 27 at 08:16 PM

Matt Bryant is expected to kick for the Bucs on Sunday.

Bryant is in Texas today, at the funeral of his 3-month-old son, but the NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports that Bryant has told the team he’ll return for Sunday’s game.

Bryant’s son, Tryson, died in his sleep early on Wednesday. He’s been away from the team since that time, but the Bucs have not signed a kicker to replace him.

"If we have to deal with signing another kicker, we will,” said Jon Gruden at the TampaBay.com website. “Right now, that's not part of our plan."
