One of the coveted free agent receivers for next spring is off the market.
Buffalo has agreed to an extension with Lee Evans – a $37.25 million deal over four years, with almost half of that money guaranteed. Evans was in the final year of his contract – one of the potential prizes of next spring’s free agency signing period.

Evans may be gone, however, but there are still some quality pending free agent receivers left. Roy Williams (Detroit) and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Cincinnati) should both be available, and neither of their existing teams are likely to make a big play to retain their services. Both have kind of worn out their welcomes. Two Drew Rosenhaus clients are upset with their deals and could be available – Anquan Boldin and Chad Johnson. And there are lesser options as well, including Bobby Engram, Bryant Johnson, Antonio Bryant, Jabar Gaffney and Ronald Curry.
