Around the NFL
I’m not sure what kind of role Willis McGahee (ribs) will play tomorrow. I expect he’ll probably be in uniform but not play as much as usual.
But it’s looking more and more likely that Le’Ron McClain will be the Ravens’ back in short-yardage and goal-line situations. He’s huge (260 pounds), he’s played well in that role, and he seems to have won the confidence of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
"When you have big backs who have a nose for the goal line, let them do their thing," Cameron said in an article in today’s Carroll County Times. "Hey, that’s a personal thing with me. I think the line loves it, too, the backs love it. Receivers all get mad at me. I think they also know that we’re not stupid, but we want to establish the run."
