Fantasy Index Mock Draft League Roundup

Posted Oct. 15 at 01:26 PM

YARDAGE LEAGUE:

Fantasy Football Mastermind, which continues to tack on solid performances to a huge Week 1 win, continues at the top of the heap. Nipping at Mastermind's heels is The Fantasy Point, riding good games from Thomas Jones (25.8 points) and Andre Johnson (23.8 points) to notch last week's high score, at 5.0 games back. First Place Sports Software is close by in third place, just 8.0 games back. despite a thin QB corps led by (ouch) Tom Brady, Trent Edwards and Brett Favre.

AUCTION LEAGUE:

All tied up at the top are Yahoo! Sports, who posted the top league scores in Weeks 4 and 5, and Fantasy Football Guidebook, who posted the league's season-high point total thus far in Week 6: 150.9 points. Guidebook has benefitted nearly all season long from the steady play of Phillip Rivers at QB, and last week enjoyed tasty contributions from feast-or-famine backs Maurice Jones-Drew and Marion Barber. Wait -- who else is tied for first? Is that Fantasy Football Index? So it is, who've relied thus far on Drew Brees' solid season in lieu of KIA Tom Brady.

TD-ONLY LEAGUE:

Brian Shemarnia leads the league with a .788 winning percentage, but that lead may soon slip through his fingers, due to QB Tony Romo's injured pinky. Only 3.0 games back is Geoff Maleman, who though he's yet to claim a week's high score, has never been far off the pace, and last week enjoyed great outings from Maurice Jones-Drew and Clinton Portis, who each scored 12 points.
