Hurricane Ike / scheduling note

Posted Oct. 20 at 08:32 AM

A reminder to those who may have forgotten: Because of Hurricane Ike in September, the NFL schedule was re-worked.

The Texans were to play the Ravens back in week 2, but that game was moved to week 10. And as part of that deal, Cincinnati's game at Houston was moved from week 10 to week 8 -- this week.

On a lot of printed material that was prepared prior to the start of the season, Houston and Cincinnati show as having byes this week. Not true; actually, the Bengals will be playing at Reliant Stadium. And as poorly as Cincinnati has been playing, it's an outstanding matchup for the Texans.
