Factoid
Everyone hopes to get off to a fast start in their fantasy leagues, but how important is it really? In the NFL, judging by last season's results, it means a lot. Consider: 13 of 16 teams that were winners in week 1 a year ago went on to finish 8-8 or better. In contrast, only 8 of the 16 teams that lost in week 1 finished at least .500.
Starting 2-0, meanwhile, is an even more certain recipe to a winning record. A year ago, 9 of the 11 teams who won their first two games finished 8-8 or better; 7 of those 9 finished with winning records. So if fantasy football is anything like the real NFL, pay particular to early-season schedules on draft day.
