New England has downgraded LaMont Jordan (calf) and Sammy Morris (knee) to out.
Their running back situation for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, in other words, now looks clear. Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis should share time. Faulk should get more touches and yards, while Green-Ellis is more likely to punch in a 1- or 2-yard touchdown run.
Last week against St. Louis, Faulk carried the ball 13 times for 60 yards and caught 4 passes for 47 yards, while Green-Ellis had 9 attempts, 16 rushing yards, no catches and a 1-yard touchdown.
The Patriots play the Colts, who currently have one of the league's worst run defenses. Indianapolis, however, does get Bob Sanders back for this game; that will help them against the run.
The Patriots announced today their decision regarding Jordan, according to Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe.
