Reid says he won't try to rest Westbrook

Posted Nov. 22 at 10:32 AM

No word yet on whether Brian Westbrook (knee, ankle) is going to be active. Probably not, but the Eagles play an early game on Sunday, so the information should be available to fantasy leaguers.

NFL.com have been doing a good job of listing each team’s inactive players prior to kickoff. If Westbrook is out, the Eagles will go with Correll Buckhalter.

Philadelphia has a Thanksgiving game coming up against Arizona, but Andy Reid says that won’t be a factor in whether Westbrook plays tomorrow.

"If he can go, he will play," Reid says in an article posted today by the Philadelphia Daily News.

The article also indicates that Buckhalter will play more on Sunday, even if Westbrook is active.

The Eagles are playing at Baltimore, so Westbrook would project to be far more effective – the Ravens are really tough against the run, so the key for both guys would be how they fared as pass catchers. And in the receiving department, there’s no comparison between Westbrook and Buckhalter.
