Fax Delivery

When are fax updates transmitted?

If you order prior to the issue's publication date, then your preseason update will be transmitted overnight approximately midnight - to - 3 a.m. Eastern time on the publication date. In-season issues are delivered during daytime hours on publication dates. Detailed information on delivery time is posted in our online store at https://store.fantasyindex.com.

If you order on or after the issue's initial publication date, then your update will be transmitted to you about half-past the next hour. We begin making our transmission list at 15 minutes after the hour. If your name is on the list, then we'll attempt to transmit your fax update at approximately 30 minutes after the hour. So if you order and your credit card has been charged by 12:14 p.m., then your update will be transmitted about 12:30 p.m. But if your credit card is charged at 12:17 p.m., the your update will be transmitted at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Patience pays: Our system will try several times to transmit your fax
There are many reasons why you may not receive a fax you're expecting from Fantasy Index. We will not attempt to call you if your fax is not transmitted due to a problem on your end (e.g. your line was busy, your fax didn't answer, your area code has changed, your fax had a line error, your fax ran out of paper, etc).

We use a broadcast service to send faxes. The service attempts to deliver your fax four times over two hours. The service can detect if there was a problem (e.g. if you received pages one and two, but not page three). If a problem occurs, the broadcast service will try again.

Common fax problems

If you receive a blurry fax, then please call us. The broadcast service transmits our faxes via satellite, and sometimes electrical interference in the atmosphere scrambles the signal. When that occurs, call us at 206-527-4444 or send e-mail to customerservice@fantasyindex.com.

Other common problems
Did you give us a valid fax number? Did you forget to notify us of an area code change? Call us at 206-527-4444 during business hours or send e-mail to our customer service department.

Is your fax working? Please call it yourself to make sure it answers. Make sure it has toner and paper. Is it set to automatically receive transmissions?

Customers sometimes order the wrong issue on our website (e.g. you intended to order the August 15 update, but you accidentally selected the August 22 issue instead). Check your order receipt (note: receipts are e-mailed only to customers who place their orders through our online store), or review your order history online.

Perhaps your credit card was not approved. If your order was approved, then you'll be able to find it by checking your order history online. If your online order was refused because your credit card wasn't approved, then we'll send an e-mail to let you know. But we don't e-mail an error notification if you place your order by telephone or through the mail.

Failing these suggestions, you should probably call us at 206-527-4444 during business hours. Our automated fax robot occasionally locks up and you may notice the problem before we do (especially if the problem occurs overnight).
