When you’re putting together a fantasy roster, it’s always nice to have wide receivers who are good around the end zone. There are guys who get used more than others around the goal line, and there are some who have a better feel for how to work that area of the field.
Here’s the list of the 37 guys who’ve seen at least 14 passes over the last two years when their teams have been inside the 10 yards line. I’ll grant that 14 is an arbitrary number, but that’s about the number of guys I wanted to list.
In this group, six players have caught over 70 percent of the passes thrown their way, and half of them have played for the Broncos: Julius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Welker. (Sanders played for Pittsburgh in 2013 and Denver last year).
Five players have caught fewer than 40 percent of their throws: Keenan Allen, Vincent Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Andrew Quarless and Cecil Shorts III.
