ASK THE EXPERTS appears weekly from training camp through Super Bowl with answers to a new question being posted Thursday morning. How the guest experts responded when we asked them: Which player are you most thankful for?

JAY HARDING

Without hesitation for me it has to be Carson Palmer. The question was could he remain healthy and so far so good, by leading the league in TDs at 27 and being third in yards with 3,066 he has his team leading the NFC West by 3 games over the second place Seahawks, plus they have already beaten the Hawks in Seattle. What I'm not thankful for is the fact that I didn't draft him in more leagues.

Harding, owner of The Fantasy Football Firm has been playing and winning fantasy football since 1987. The Firm specializes in helping fantasy owners win in three key post-draft areas. Senior Partners at The Firm get all three publications: “Effective Team Management”, “Waiver Wire Wisdom” and “The Trade Maker” a combined 57 pages packed with sound, proven and effective strategies focused solely on helping partners win their league championships and to do so more consistently than ever before. JOSHUA SIMMONS

Reaching a little deeper here, I'm thankful for Josh McCown. Those who aren't familiar with the ups & downs of McCown's career would be well served reading up on where he's played and what transpired leading up to his stint with the Chicago Bears. To be perfectly honest, I had little hope that Josh had anything left in the tank, following his disappointing stint with Tampa Bay. I'm happy to be proven wrong, however, and appreciate both his composed play on the field and his mature handling of the Manziel fiasco. Bigger picture, it's fun seeing Cleveland operate with a relevant passing attack these days.

Simmons has been a contributor for FantasySharks.com since 2007. His responsibilities include dynasty rankings, weekly projections-driven content and staff representation in various leagues.

MICHAEL NAZAREK

Rob Gronkowski. For producing the lowest fantasy total in Week 11 to allow my two FFPC high stakes teams to clinch No. 1 seeds and win $5.5K. Yup, I don't own Gronk and I'm happy my two closest competitors do! Thanks!

IAN ALLAN

I am thankful for Javorius Allen. I’m in a league where I’m running out of running backs because of injuries. I have had him stashed for a month or so, and he’s showing up at just the right time. I am very optimistic how he’ll perform in a PPR format on Monday night against a Cleveland defense that’s last against the run. I’m thinking he’ll run for 80-plus yards and maybe catch 5-6 passes.

Allan is the senior writer for Fantasy Football Index. He's been in that role since 1987, generating most of the player rankings and analysis for that publication. His work can be seen in Fantasy Football Index magazine, and also at www.fantasyindex.com.

SAM HENDRICKS

Devonta Freeman. I have him in a ton of leagues and he is the only thing keeping me afloat. In one league I have LeVeon Bell, Matt Forte and Freeman. Just a few short weeks ago I had the top 3 running backs. Now I just have Freeman (possibly Forte this week, time will tell). In PPR Freeman is a monster even with his short duty last sunday. 764 rushing yards, 9 rushing TDs, 48 receptions and 420 receiving yards to go with 2 receiving TDs. He leads the next RB AP by 60 points. If not for this 8th round pick I might be crying in my turkey on Thanksgiving. As it is I will be very thankful if he can play against the Vikes Sunday.

Hendricks is the author of Fantasy Football Guidebook, Fantasy Football Tips and Fantasy Football Basics, all available at ExtraPointPress.com, at all major bookstores, and at Amazon and BN.com. He is a 20-plus year fantasy football veteran who regularly participates in the National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC) and finished 7th and 16th overall in the 2008 and 2009 Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC). DAVID DOREY

I am most thankful for all of the top ten wide receivers because if there is one thing that this season has lacked it is consistency. Running backs are rife with injuries, demotions, split backfields and the like. Quarterbacks are consistent only in being mostly average. Wideouts are always hard to forecast anyway and the fact that you can rely on players like Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Antonio Brown and so on is not only a boon for any fantasy team, but are the very few that makes forecasting players for me easier!

Dorey is the co-founder and lead NFL analyst for The Huddle and author of Fantasy Football: The Next Level. He has projected and predicted every NFL game and player performance since 1997 and has appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, radio and television.

ANDY RICHARDSON

Todd Gurley. I took a mid-round flier on him in a standard scoring league where running backs go early and often. My patience paid off as he started cranking out yards and touchdowns as soon as I needed to start him. I lost top pick LeVeon Bell in that league, so without having Gurley I would be pretty much cooked. Thank you, Gurley. Close second is Charcandrick West, who more than lived up to expectations after I spent most of the blind bidding budget on him. Just hope he doesn't miss too much time with this hamstring injury.
