Matt Forte has announced that as expected, the Bears won't try to re-sign him for the 2016 season. We can all speculate as to where Forte, who seems to have plenty left in the tank, will end up, with New England the most intriguing possibility (although they have a nice pass-catching back in Dion Lewis).

In Chicago, meanwhile, the Bears will move forward with second-year back Jeremy Langford as their starter, with KaDeem Carey the likely No. 2. It's not certain the offense will lose very much. When Forte got hurt midseason, Langford did a nice job filling in. His numbers over the second half of the season (some of which Forte missed, some of which he was around for) were pretty similar to those of Forte.
