Question

In the Super Bowl era, what's the only team that's gone six straight years without a first-round pick?

Answer

Washington, and it's happened twice. It did not select in the first round in any of the drafts 1969 thru 1979, largely because George Allen preferred veterans. And it happened again in 1984-1990, when Bobby Beathard was doing a lot of wheeling and dealing. One other team has gone five straight (the Eagles in the '70s). Three other teams have gone four straight drafts. Raiders in the late '70s, Vikings after the Herschel Walker trade, and San Diego (with Bobby Beathard in charge again, and ending his four-year drought by selecting Ryan Leaf No. 2 overall).
