We did the Mock Auction thing on Sunday, and I picked up Dwayne Allen as one of my tight ends. I like that Coby Fleener is no longer there. Allen is their clear tight end now, and they saw they’re going to use him. I think he’ll be a top-10 tight end.
That said, he’s certainly dropped a lot of passes.
Over the past two years, he’s dropped 6 of 51 catchable passes, one of the worst rates in the league (among tight ends).
Late in this auction, the DraftSharks team, with Lenny Pappano and Matt Schauf, picked up Jordan Cameron for the $1 minimum. I see that Cameron has dropped only one pass in the last two years.
I spent $2 on my 3rd tight end (Kyle Rudolph), but in hindsight, I’m thinking I would have rather spent that $2 on Jordan.
