What do we make of Carson Wentz? He’s just a rookie and played only seven games last year at North Dakota State, but he looks really good. How much more do we have to see before we’re willing to move ahead of quarterbacks like Marcus Mariota and Andy Dalton in the NFL hierarchy.

I spent some time coming over the NFL’s current quarterbacks, trying to put them in the order I would select them in a dynasty-style draft. That is, not just this year (where Wentz wouldn’t be my the top 15) but in a fantasy league where once you get a player, you’ve got him forever.

If you’re in a 2016-only draft, then guys like Tom Brady and Drew Brees go in the top 5. But if you’re also giving some consideration to 2024 and 2028, youngsters like Wentz and Jameis Winston start looking a lot more favorable.

Here’s my stab at a top 40.
