Anybody else need a hug? No, I'm not talking about that AMC show. I'm talking about actually watching all of the brutal Arizona-Seattle game last night. Or starting Mike Gillislee. Or believing the reports that LeSean McCoy would be a-OK. Or any number of frustrating occurrences from yesterday's crop of NFL games.

Giants vs. Rams: I thought it significant that not only did this game start at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, but that for the Los Angeles-based Rams it might feel like 6:30 in the morning. Maybe it wasn't a big deal, I don't know, but they were certainly moving sluggishly out there. Or just two teams that play better defense than offense. Ugly game with touchdowns scored by Defense, Tavon Austin, and the tough to watch Rashad Jennings. Moving on.

Browns at Bengals: Kind of amazing that Isaiah Crowell has been a most-weeks starter with the Browns losing every game. If ever a team was built to go 0-16, the Browns are it. Those in Survivor Pools take their W and move happily along. When even crazy Hail Mary passes are completed against you, you know you're in for a rough season. But hey, Cavaliers and Indians. Big game for Jeremy Hill though Giovani Bernard actually got nearly twice as many carries, a concern.

Washington at Lions: A game I was fairly confident would be a high-scoring affair wasn't. You got some late production out of a few key members of the passing game, at least. Seems pretty clear that Jamison Crowder (and whichever tight end) are the main options in the passing game. Lost fumble by Matt Jones led to a big game for Chris Thompson, we'll see how that turns out going forward (but Thompson needs to be owned).

Raiders at Jaguars: I continue to be impressed by Michael Crabtree. How the guy could struggle for years in San Francisco -- one good half season in there -- and be excellent the last two seasons with Oakland is impressive. I'm not totally buying Jack Del Rio and the overall Raiders team, but that Derek Carr-Cooper-Crabtree passing game is something else. As for the Jacksonville offense, it's offensive. Apologies to everyone I raved about Allen Robinson to in the preseason. It's just not happening for these guys.

Saints at Kansas City: As expected. Huge game for Spencer Ware. Tough matchup on the road with a tough pass defense for the Saints. Drew Brees ultimately saved his day with late production and you were glad if you used him, but he struggled for a lot of the game, and some key players disappointed. It did seem like Michael Thomas (the biggest performer) got out of bounds at the end there. Biggest disappointment: Jeremy Maclin, who pairs with Allen Hurns on one of my teams as a really lousy duo.

Bills at Dolphins: I know there have been occasions where injured players proceeded to have huge games and people who benched them were like, "Man, I wish I'd started him!" But I can't think of those occasions right now, thinking instead of the Bills wasting 8 carries on an injured running back who then aggravated his injury and had to leave the game, with the result being neither he nor his backup, Mike Gillislee, had good games. I don't know what the Bills were trying to prove here but the net result is that a bunch of fantasy teams got rooked and the Bills look foolish. Oh yeah, another big game for Jay Ajayi, which says a lot about the risks of writing people off; no doubt he was waived in some leagues earlier in the year. None of this is great for the passing game.

Ravens at Jets: Leave it to the Jets to show a pulse after being written off, and to Geno Smith to get hurt after being handed the starting job. That's how it seems to go for him. Workhorse role for Matt Forte, which makes you wonder if the Jets just kind of wing it with their backfield each week. Not surprising Terrance West didn't do anything, but the passing game (except for Mike Wallace) struggling was a lot less understandable.

Vikings at Eagles: No more unbeatens, the Dolphins veterans can pop their champagne. Doubt anyone really thought the Vikings would go 19-0. Not a pretty game and hardly surprising one of the key touchdowns was on a kick return. Minnesota really short of offensive playmakers, Eagles a committee backfield and rookie quarterback. Like Dallas next Sunday night.

Colts at Titans: Andrew Luck and the Colts beating the Titans, happens all the time. Nice running game and pretty good defense (at times) for Tennessee, but not much else to see here. Just not a passing offense you can really invest in. For the Colts, Luck-Hilton-Gore-Doyle delivered, as expected. Wish I had grabbed Doyle in a few other spots (using him over Hunter Henry, as a for instance, would have been nice).

Chargers at Falcons: Fun game to watch. I guess I like Philip Rivers out of nostalgia for Favre; he's similar to late-career Favre as a guy who will keep on slinging it to the end and sometimes things go his way. Falcons almost won this thing on a 58-yarder at the end that hit the crossbar. Rivers almost won it on a perfect goal-line throw to Antonio Gates that got batted out of his hands (a few years ago, Gates has another step and catches it easily). Was also really impressed by Melvin Gordon in this game, particularly a second effort to pick up a yard that was stuffed at the line. His yards per carry isn't great and a couple of fumbles cost San Diego some early wins, but he was huge in this game. As were Julio Jones and I think pretty much everyone but Hunter Henry (although he was oh so close on a pair of touchdown chances, stopped just short of goal line on one and not getting second foot down on another). Tevin Coleman limped off, we'll see.

Buccaneers at 49ers: I don't how the 49ers possibly get through the season the way they're getting clobbered on the ground. It's ridiculous. Watching film the next day has to be more unpleasant than that AMC show. Big game for Jacquizz Rodgers, Mike Evans and Jameis Winston. You can pretty much replace their names with the stars facing the 49ers each and every week. Where does the team go from here? Didn't they just clean house? Gonna have to happen again in a couple of months if not sooner. San Francisco has a bye so I'll go light on Daily games next week.

Patriots at Steelers: Steelers actually fared better than expected in this one, but you can't hold down a healthy Gronkowski forever. James White has been impressive. LeVeon Bell is awesome. Antonio Brown got hurt, hopefully he'll be fine after the bye.

Seahawks at Cardinals: David Johnson continues his MVP type season. Cardinals are only 3-3-1 (and it feels like they're worse) but what a year he's having. Kicking myself for drafting Odell Beckham Jr. over him at 1.03 in a league, a direct factor in my poor record there. One decision can change a roster so much. Anyway, Seattle's offense is painful to watch, and so is Carson Palmer. Cardinals kicking themselves (see what I did there, Chandler Catanzaro?) for losing this one.

Monday, Monday: Counting on the Broncos to keep me alive in my main Survivor Pool. Houston does have a good running game and a great receiving duo, and the Broncos have Trevor Siemian at quarterback, so it's certainly possible the Texans pull things out. But I'll call it Broncos 23, Texans 16.
